Lisbon House

This conceptual study consisted in the creation of a one family house, unifying the interiors of an old four floor, left and right dwelling building in Campolide. The owners wanted to create a spiral stairway that would connect all the floors as a center axis, acting as a bridge between private areas and social areas. The idea of a loft feeling was also to be explored, creating a negative space over the main living room/dining room, with the heigh of two floors. On the street level, a private garage and fitness studio with sauna was designed, with a ceremonial yellow compartment launching the stairs into the house. This room also separated both garage and fitness studio. The first floor gathered all the social areas with access to a garden with swiming pool, while the above two floors were designed as private areas with all the bedrooms, being the last floor a master suite with a dedicated living room.
